Don't try to fix the Lens Hood while yr adapter is on Lens barrel. First fix Lens hood to Adapter and then fit Adapter to Lens barrel. Remember Grooves on your Lens barrel of the camera important to you than this cheap Lens hood or Adapter which you can replace. So make sure you fit Lens Hood to Adapter before fixing adapter to camera. safety of camera comes first.

Rotate lock-ring to expose the thread's mounting thread. Attach the hood by screwing it on the filter or lens thread. Rotate lock-ring back to fix the hood on the thread. While fixating the hood with the lock-ring, keep the " " symbol on the hood exactly at 12 o'clock position for the correct perpendicular orientation of the higher sides of the hood.
