Hoya 58mm Super HMC PRO 1 UV Filter

Hoya SUPER HMC PRO1 Haze UV(0) - Filter - UV - 58 mm
Hoya 58mm Super HMC PRO 1 UV Filter is the UV filter I use for my Canon SX10 IS camera. It's kind of expensive comparing to other 58mm UV filters but this is a real quality product. This one of the best high end 58mm UV filters you can find today. 12 layers of Super Multicoating are applied to the surface of the Skylight 1B and UV models, which produce an average transmission of 99.7%. Coupled with maximum surface precision, this allows increased resistance to flare the stunning images can be recorded at wide apertures without compromising the performance of your lenses.

The UV-Haze filter will improve your images when photographing mountain and marine scenes, where increased haze threatens to make your photographs indistinct in color and clarity. Be aware that this filter reduces Ultraviolet (UV) haze, and not haze related to other reasons like smog.

Hoya 58mm Super HMC PRO 1 UV Filter is bit expensive but I'm fully satisfied with it. unlike those cheap UV filter you can see feel the quality because you ll see zero reflection from Hoya 58mm Super HMC PRO 1 UV Filter surface.

B+W 58mm UV Filter for Canon Powershot SX60 IS camera

There are soo many filters by many manufacturers, including Nikon, Hoya and Tiffen But I think B+W is the best filter brand you can find. You will find this German made products is the highest quality UV filter you can find on net. B+W 58mm UV Filters might be bit expensive than other brands like Hoya or Tiffen but its well worth the price you pay. You can compare B+W 58mm UV Filter with Hoya SUPER HMC PRO1 Haze UV filter and B+W 58mm UV Filter is slightly better. All other UV filters including other Hoya filters are far away when you compare the quality. It has Brass Ring for higher Quality Image and Highest possible polishing technique. Also World's best optical glass and New thinner Pro mount. No vignetting.

Photographers tend to debate the protection aspect of UV filters. Some say it will degrade an image to a certain extent and can increase the likelihood of lens flare. These are legitimate concerns that can be minimized with a quality lens filter like B+W 58mm UV Filter. This is the best UV filter you can find for your Canon Powershot SX60 IS camera.

Ah don't forget you need a Filter adapter to mount this filter into your camera. Since this is a 58mm filter you need a 58mm Filter Adapter. You can use these for all Canon bridge cameras but if you have a latest one like SX60 you can also consider those 67mm adapter and filters.

Hoya 58mm DMC PRO1 UV filter

Hoya 58mm DMC PRO1 UV filter
Hoya 58mm DMC PRO1 UV filter is one of the latest Hoya UV filters which you can use for your Canon Powershot SX10 IS camera.  I have a Hoya Super HMC PRO 1 UV filter which I bought for $60. These days I don't see it at Amazon. So I think Hoya 58mm DMC PRO1 UV filter is the next best thing you can find. Its also only $50 or less, Cheaper than Hoya 58mm Super HMC PRO 1 UV filter.

I have no idea how this Hoya Digital UV filter differ from Hoya Super HMC filter but I have seen loads of 5 star rating for it at Amazon. So I guess its a good quality filter just like the Hoya Super HMC PRO 1 UV filter. Also if you don't want to pay $50 for this Hoya 58mm DMC PRO1 UV filter then you can buy Hoya Super HMC UV filter ( not the PRO 1 ) for around $30 at Amazon. I think its a good filter for its price. Also its highly phrased by photographers.

I think this Hoya filter is one of the more affordable quality filters in market. It would work nicely for any Canon bridge camera from SX10 to Canon SX50 or SX60. Price is bit higher than average but better quality too.
